    Gold is a great investment, IMO it's not going to drop all that much. It gets scarcer and harder to mine everyday and governments stockpile it. I bought one of those little bars, except my is a 5 gram bar. I bought it in Switzerland and it's more jewelery as it's framed in a little gold frame and hangs on a chain. At the time, I bought it and an 18", 18K gold chain for about 700 Swiss Franks, or between $400-450. With the chain and frame, it's almost worth what I paid.
