Anyone have experience with a gold flake angel? Wandering if they eat zoas, or Wellso. Other than that I think my corals are safe according to net info I can find. I have an opportunity to get one locally very cheap.

What i'm planning to do when I get my dwarf angels is have the LFS hold them for me in a quarantine tank with no meds and some cheap brown polyps. Since everything I have read says some nip, and some dont this way i'll know for sure if the ones i'm looking at are nippers at the time of purchase.

I've kept one at the LFS where I work. I didn't notice it eating any polyps but it did kill a marine betta so I assume that they have a temperament issue.

will some of them will ignore polyps and go for your sps, or welsos, or other corals. I wouldn't go on just the fact that it won't munch on brown polyps. From my experience, angels like the more expensive stuff anyhow.

The fish is a no go. I talked to the owner and he said it would tear up the wellso and zoas.

Its hit or miss with angels. I have a Lemonpeel that nips at stuff on occasion and I've had a Flame that didn't touch anything. There is no set rule with fish just like humans..they are all different. Good luck with it though..it is one of my favorite angels..just can't afford one.
