Still looks alive to me. It's just not coming out that's all.
The only Goni I've seen so far has been in one head. I've never seen one branched-looking like that.

well, to even have a chance, you need to move it up towards the top of the tank. get some putty if need be to hold it there. With PCs, it wont get near enough light at the bottom. I have a goni under PCs, but i have only had it a few weeks. It looks great right now, is opened up, but it is in the top half of my tank. Im not saying that mine is going to last long term, but for the moment, it looks like it at least has a chance.

What happened with the goni? From what I've read these come from lagoons and actually prefer less than pristine water. They like nutrients. One book I have says to experiment with different types of food supplements.

I had a goniopora sp in my tank for a couple of months, they require medium to strong lighting and moderate flow, when i got it home it ballooned under my lighting compared to the t5's at the lfs, the months it was in there it did very well, but out grew the tank, don't think the base grew very much but it seemed to get larger the more light it had, it reached over 10" wide when fully opened and in a 55 this was way to big, so i traded it in, but not before the goni spawned in my tank, and the baby is doing good, its about 5mm across so far...

This is the only pic of the big one i had because it ballooned up like this and posted it on the forum, still do not know why it did it, think it did it because i kept handleing it?

Not even sure if the one you have is a goniopora as most are domed like half a ball shape when shrunken, never seen one like that ever...
