What type of lighting are you looking at? A good T5 setup is a Tek fixture. There are numerous websites that sell these, but I like bulkreefsupply.com. Not too familiar with MH lights. I wouldn't go the PC route.

This is my second favorite setup. My fav is the 8x54W TEK. It does not come with lunar lights, but that is OK. You can fashion your own into the system. Lunar lights should never be considered a tie breaker IMO......just a nice add on.

Lunars just allow you to view at night. there is no added benefit to having lunar lights.

EDIT: Although I've heard of some people using lunar cycles to make fish mate and stuff, i'm not 100% sure on that though...

I like lunar lights because it creates a more realistic environment. Plus the nocturnal creatures can see a little and the fish don't scare as easy in a dark room.

are they really bright, because i work nights and my tank is in my room, if its a subtle light then ill be fine with dishin out the extra cash for it. now another thing what is a ballast and its purposes to lighting? sorry for the nub questions just trying to make a list of things and prices. lol right now i kinda thinking about getting my first credit card from my bank, so i can work on building my credit up. plus gonna get annoyed saving a couple hundred dollars a week from my tip money to spend on a few pieces. i want to get it all set up now lol.
