yellow tang i know eat hair algae. what about getting a snails and fighting conch. if its growing on the glass then a mag float is what you need. easy and fast to use.

I would get a dozen snails and a dozen small hermit crabs. I have a Diamond Goby that is an insane sifter of my substrate. Algae dosen't have a chance with him. Only get one though as they might fight. I have a 65 gal reef tank with 2 Emerald Crabs, 10 Scarlett Hermits, 5 Blue Legged Hermits, 7 Red Stripe Turbo Snails and 5 Plain Turbo Snails. Except for the Emerald Crabs they are pretty cheap in price and do a great job cleaning the tank and the corals too. Get some waterflow with a Koralia 2 power pump. I have 2 Koralia 2's. That might help. Good luck!

+1 on a good cleanup crew (CUC). Your tang should take care of a bunch, but i'm a big fan of conches and urchins (despite their clumsiness).
