LOL! now that's what you call communism, they won't let people smoke due to some possible lungs diseases, but it's ok for them to consume their livers away....lmao that's just wrong

If cigarette smokers were able to stay in a bubble without their smoke wandering over on other non-smoking people that would probably keep it from getting banned. Anyway, there are better things to smoke than cigarette's. hehe The couple times I've tried cigarettes, they've tasted like smoking cardboard. I can't imagine forcing myself to smoke long to get addicted to the nicotin.

haha that is so true about the smoking && clothes thing.
when i moved i of course took all my clothes but like i had smoked in my previous room so ofcourse they smelled like gross cigerettes but i think mtips && i are doing so well with the no smoking thing its great =)

 

I disagree. First off, the lung disease isn't a possibility, it's a guarantee if the smoker continues to smoke.

If we sit in a bar and both drink, we aren't hurting each other.

If we sit in a bar and both smoke, we each breathe second hand smoke (notwithstanding the fact that we're both also smoking.) If I smoke and you don't, I'm hurting you.

See the difference?

Banning smoking in bars isn't as hypocritical as it seems on the surface. If I choose to drink, but don't want to have to breathe second hand smoke, that's my right; and if the government wants to pass a law that further insulates me from those who might otherwise make me sick; and prohibit that guy next to me from blowing smoke in my face, I have no issue with that. It might sound like the axe murderer hating the rapist, but there you go. . .

Just because I have one vice, doesn't mean I'm fair game to yours. Maybe I like to draw the line at hepatitis? I don't need lung cancer too.

At the risk of sounding like a whiner, I'm very happy that there are laws that protect me from second hand smoke. There were days when people could smoke on planes, and in movie theatres. I'm happy those days are in the past.

 

Well, thats just like, you can die for your country at the age of 18, but you cant drink until your 21. But I agree with Sparky on this one. Luna

 

quit smoking, started drinking, me feel much better now.
