My skimmer came in yesterday. Its a Coralife 125 gal rating. I read good things on it for the $$. I hooked it up yesterday afternoon, tweeked it all yesterday evening and let it run last night for it's first trip. Let me tell ya, the nasty stuff it produces it just GROSS. I can't believe how much cleaner and clearer my water is! It was clear before but then there it THIS clear.

UG, my hermit crab just changed shells, I'm so mad I missed it :(

Congrats on the new skimmer! New toys are always fun.

Sorry you missed the shell change...I've only seen it a few times myself, it is rather fun to watch. :)

I've seen one swap to another shell, decide it wasn't the right fit, to return to his old. Amusing for sure.

Just make sure you don't stick the corrugated return hose all the way into the bubble trap. Push it all the way in then pull it up an inch or two. This helped with micro bubbles when I had one of these.8)Have fun.

Great buy!!! I have the same skimmer now for 2 months and I love it. Give it 2-3 weeks for break in.
