Grandma

Standing in line at a store a sweet old lady, a few people in front of me, kept staring back at me and smiling. finally she gets out of line for a minute and comes and tells me that I look exactly like her only grandson. She goes on and tells me that he has entered the army and she hasn’t seen him for more than a year.
“Can you do me a favor?”, she asks. “When you see me leaving, can you say goodbye grandma? It would mean a lot to me.” She says.
I tell her I would love to do that for her.
She goes back to her place in line. When she is done buying her items, she looks back at me and I wave to her and say, “Goodbye grandma! I will see you later!” I added that last part because she was so sweet. She waves and walks out.
Feeling great that I had made her day, I get to the front of the line with my few things. I was surprised to hear that the bill came out to $123.54. I told the clerk I only have about $20.00 worth of items here. He said, “I know but your grandma said you would pay for her stuff too.”
