I have a green monti with Black bugs (very small pepper looking specs). The coral seems to be fine but I was going to remove and treat as it is still on a frag plug. I did some reading and it seems like the only thing that will kill these bugs is Inceptor but it seems the company has changed the meds from a tablet to a chawable form and you cannot get tablets anymore only the chewables.
Does anyone have any suggestions to get rid of these black bugs?
    Will any other dips work?
    Thanks

Is that your only monti, or can you remove and dip all your monti's? I think people have had success with some dips, coralRX, Revive, etc... I think there may be another med now on the market, with the same active ingredient as interceptor.

I only have one monti all other corals are LPS and zoas I have a duncun, green leather, branching hammer, mushrooms, blasto, green birdsnest, xiena and mutilple zoas all seem to be unaffected.
Do you know of the other dips that are known to work?

I don't think much is know about the monti blackbugs. I have only heard of them a handful of times myself (assuming they are blackbugs and not monti eating nudibranch). If so, I would start with the dips I mentioned and see if it helps. If not, you could also try iodine dips or freshwater etc, but that is more extreme. I think you will have success, but I wouldn't add more montis until they are gone for 3 weeks or more.

Also, a pic would help, to confirm id if you can get one.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
I believe member Thatgrimguy had them recently.

Some people are using Bayer now instead of Interceptor because Interceptor is hard to impossible to get now.

If you incorporate Black Bugs into the thread title you may get more specific answers or replies.

Bayer huh? By the way, if you go the dip route, you will probably have to dip multiple times. I am not familiar with the lifecycle though. So, maybe twice a week or so, for a month, to be safe, but maybe you can find better info if you search...

You can still get interceptor online, ya just have to search for it, but it is pricey. There was a thread on here not all that long ago.

I will try top get a pic tomorrow I have revive onhand so I will try that first.
I found sites that sell inceptor in AU the main problem is it only comes in chewable form now and cannot be made into powder.
The manufacture changed the format of the medication last month.

Sure did. I was able to find interceptor and it seems to have worked perfectly. I suggest researching red bugs and treating as if that's what you had.

That was my thread. And no, you can't even find it online anymore. Everywhere that claims to have it doesn't really. I know, I called about 20 of them a couple months ago.
