Green Monti question

There is a surprisingly small amount of information on Monti black bugs. Yet a lot of people seem to chime in on the few threads that I found saying they too had some variant, but nothing more.

 

Thx, was driving me nuts, sorry ya didn't find it. I found a few threads here and there saying they're much easier to kill than red bugs and that iodine based dips like coral RX or RODI dips of 60 seconds works.

 

I found some in the end at a vet, they still had some in stock.

Ive used Bayer with positive results. It will cost alot less that Interceptor, its easier to find and you dont have to treat the whole tank, just dip the coral. I used it on the majority of the corals in my frag system and had great results.

 

Can you treat the whole tank? In my case it would be completely impossible to pull a coral. My coral is all very well encrusted to the rock work and all rock work is epoxyed and corallined together. At this point my tank is almost completely fused together.

I ask just in case I ever see these little *******s show up again! lol.

Also what type of Monti is this?

 

I was also told today that this will this will also cure redbugs and blackbugs but is only a dip and cannot treat the whole tank.

I did find other talking about this working as a cure for redbugs on other forms.

 

does anyone have results of dipping with Ivomec?
