    Yikes! Topping off with saltwater is a no no.. Salt does NOT evaporate and stays in your system. So when you have water loss through evaporation, your salinity rises. By adding more saltwater will only increase this. Use RO water to top off your tank.

    The only time salt is lost, is when salt creep forms. When you do a partial water change using saltwater, this will level the salt level. Even at that, the salt loss is not that great.

    If you read the original post, his salinity is low at 1.022,

    He wants to raise his salinity so topping off with salt water is NOT a no-no awesome combo rock!

    Ha I didn't even see that. Oops... He could do what I call a hot mix. Add saltwater at 1.027 or so in very small batches. I have had very good results in this method.

    I agree on upping the salinity at least to 1.024 but 1.025 ideally. Always do this slowly over time to avoid shocking your livestock.

    Also, my GSP gets crazy, bounced off the glass, flow and looks like a grassy prairie on a windy day. i really like it. Had to trim it a lot lately. You also may want to add/upgrade your light. The more light, the faster it will grow.... some times too fast.
