Well I hope I went the right direction. I have never seen that Tunze... it's crazy looking.

I got a really good deal on the ETSS, I have been watching forums and ebay for a few months now hoping one would show up before I had to buy a new one.

I think the tunze may be more "phyto friendly" (if there is actually such a thing), but if so, you can always feed a bit more... Last time I was thinking about a NPS tank, those were the two I was debating between (and if I hadn't started adding up the costs of a very small NPS tank I might have one ;D ).

ETSS claim being plankton friendly too. But I really plan to cut off my return for about 6 hours a day (my viewing times) and just run my closed loop with auto feeder attached and my vortechs. Then cut the skimmer and return back on to clean the water back out and do it again the next day.

As for the cost... It's INSANE.. The ONLY way I am justifying it is that all the equipment I have purchased outside of the plumbing/glass/stand can be used on my eventual 500+ gallon system that will replace/join this one.

Got my plumbing and biopellet reactor in today!!

This reactor is the SRO BR-140 by Reef Octopus... I put it next to my favorite marinade (and the secret to my awesome country style pork ribs) for a size reference!

And check out the beef on this gate valve!! The Schedule 80 stuff is AWESOME!

I have this doser and I must say you will be happy with it. It's more expensive than the other brands but it's worth every penny. It's easy to use and very reliable.
