Ok I have some before and after shots I wanted to show. I didn't realize what kind of growth I was getting till I started cruising my photobucket. Enjoy. All of the before pictures were taken in either late april or early may.

Looks good are you dosing or running a reactor?

I run a calcium reactor. My calcium requirements are nutso. I couldn't imagine dosing on a system this size. I also use amino acids because I pretty much starve my tank other than nori sheets for my tangs. I feed marine snow every other week also.

haha thanks steve. I'm stoked because I think I have found a niche. I've experimented so much over past few years and most of the experiments have been to my detriment. What is funny is most of these corals were fried about a month ago due to the vodka deal. (won't go there) I was loosing my redplanet at an alarming rate. You can't see it in the pic but there's some bare skeleton on the top of it. I'm sure it will reencrust tho. Also, if you'll look at the second red planet picture, you'll see a small acro frag in the background that is totally brown other than the green polyps. I wrote this coral off due to the vodka episode. it was totally gone I thought. it's starting to come back now though. You can see it was much smaller also in the first red planet pic.

excellent growth - and in just three months?? I have read that calcium reactors really are the must in SPS tanks. Evidently you show that it truely is the case!!
