    agreed. especially with GFO. GFO works best when its given a slight tumble. in a pouch it will tend to clump up and in turn reduce the amount of surface area that the waer can contact.

    running a ATS on my current tank I dont run GFO, but from reading here I a have dual reactor carbon/GFO planned into the budget plans for my next project.

    This is all great! I do need to add that the sand and rock I used for this tank was already well established and I really only had a mini cycle. My CUC is very light due to budget issues but I'm working on it ;) I'll keep you all posted and let you know what I do and the results of it!
