    I have halimeda popping up on piece of rock and was wondering if that's good or do I need to get it out of there?

    I can be helpful. Just watch that is doesn't go sexual. It will remove the oxygen from your tank if this happens. Sign it is going sexual is the green algae is in tatters. Remove all of the algae if you see this.

    It looks like a bunch of green specs on the alga's skeleton.

    If it is looking bad now take it out immediately.
