theres no ammonia, no nitrites and some nitrates

the presence of Nitrates could indicate that both ammonia and Nitrites have peaked and dropped

it could also mean that there was nitrate in the water to start with (If it where tap) and that the cycle has not yet started ( I dont think it is this, but it could be so I mention it)

how long has the tank been set up

what have you had in there to cycle the tank ?

    Steve

Most likely if you have already seen ammonia and nitrites, and now they are gone, your cycle is complete.........but like the above said, it really depends on what you cycled your tank with.

I would wait at least another week or so. A cycling tank can look cycled one day and then the next day the params are back to cycle-mode. How old is your tank and much live rock do you have in there (cured or not?)?

By reading the first posts of the OP's on this forum, I was guessing that the tank is maybe about 2 weeks old.

is that still roughly about 4 weeks shy of being full safe cycle?

Yes, as a general rule. Some can cycle faster on account of the amount of live rock added and if it is cured already.

My tank cycled in about two weeks. I cycled with over 40lbs of cured in my 29 gal.

Edit: forgot to mention that I still waited 2 weeks after I thought it finished it's cycle.
