My tank is 5mnths old and I'm not happy with the aquascape plus I truly think the leather isn't happy where it is. He has closed up 4 times in two weeks and i find there is quite a bit of detritus that ends up on him.

    Have you ever re-aquascaped?
I want to do something with the rockwork and leather on the one side.
The other side of my tank I like.

    Any suggestions?

I moved my rocks in my 90 when I had it about every few months because I didn't like the way it looked. I think it would be fine as long as you don't stress the fish out too much and down pull rocks that have sank into the sand to much. pulling them up from that deep of sand (if you have a drep sand bed) could fluctuate your params. corals I move all the so if you're more worried about that then just find that sweet spot for it

There should be no detritus building up on the leather. If there is you don't have enough flow for it as the like quite a bit.

+1; I find leathers like quite a bit more flow than most people think.

I used to re aquascape all the time, now that I have a bigger tank and more rock and more coral, it's hard to place things just right. I find its best to look around, get an idea in your head that you're absolutely in love with, then try to recreate it and stick with it.

I have good flow as all the corals are moving but the leather is the one that doesn't seem to get cleaned off well. Its actually right near the water flow of my filter.
My blenny irritates the leather too, constantly sitting on it and spitting/pooping on it.

I have some work to do

I like your current rock work. The blenny will keep sitting on the leather if you re-work the rocks. :)

Just 1 thought. If your GSP is doing well, it will take over the whole rock and wipe out anything on its path. I made that mistake and still paying for in once in a while.
