Absolutely! Cleaner shrimp are the onboard doctors of the reef tank. It might be ich but I'm not totally sure. Contrary to what others believe I've used a product recommended by a professional and it's called Kick-ich. This is totally reef safe with no copper at all. But try the cleaner shrimps first they are great to have and funny to watch.

 

Ok so this is Crazy! My clown fish ate whatever that was on my tang off, the tang was letting him, and continued to nip at him untill they both seemed satisfied that the job was done.

 

If you can qt the fish and treat with primafix. That's cotton fin fungus imo. Also some ppl say that primafix is reef safe but I wouldn't put any meds in my tank. If you can't qt try soaking food in super selcon, vitamins, garlic, any hufa to boost it's immunity.
