    Someday when I grow up, I want a chiller...

    I used to do the frozen bottle thing a lot, it works pretty well. Depends on the size of your tank. If you just put in a few frozen gallons every day at the hottest time, you can control it, but think of all the energy freezing that water. In the end, a chiller is the way to go.

    My chiller has not run since April 2008 here in Phoenix all due to fans. I was scared to death of losing my system in the summer months but once I installed an ATO system to keep up with evaporation rate of as much as 3-4 gallons a day I have not run the chiller since.
