Hey everyone , i recently got my roughly 130 gallon corner tank. Its been set up for about a month. my problem is ~HEAT~. my water temp. is reaching and staying at 86 !YIKES!. I need some ideas on how to cool the thing down, but i cant afford a chiller right now. so any sugestions would be greatly appreciated! here are some pics to maybe help you out.

P.S. theres no fish in it right now, I know sucky lighting, FO tank and more LR to come.

During the summer I ran a floor fan pointed up so the air would blow across the top of the tank under the light. Without it, it would hit 86 - this kept it down around 82. It's a good $20 solution to try out.

If you can remove the glass top.. or blow a fan across your sump

without telling us what kind of lighting you have its hard to help

It doesnt look like you have metal halides so heat shouldnt be a big deal.

Your canopy is too low and you have the tank covered up which keeps the heat from escaping. You dont have any active cooling like fans blowing on the lights.

Basically you are doing everything possible to keep the heat from escaping

I have 2 x 250w DE Metal Halides and 4 x 54W T5 HO and my temp in the hot summer hits 79F max.
