    i just typed in marineland stealth exploding into google and seen this thread on another site scroll down to where there are pictures of someones tank were it expoded and blew the glass apart on the tank. wow thats a bit scary ... look at the date its recent too!!!! those using them should check into this

    their post..............

    My Marineland Stealth Pro heater just exploded 3 weeks ago. 4:14am I was on business travel. My wife was home alone and had to deal with it. Lost all our fish and all our plants. I am considering if I should remain in this hobby at all. It was great while it lasted.

    That said I am sending Marineland a package today with my claim. Hopefully they will take care of the costs of things that were lost. Will keep you all posted.

    Lots of threads on this all over all of the SW forums. Lots of exploding Marineland Stealth Pros out there over the past 3 months (as long as I've been back on SW boards this time around). I was actually surprised it took this long for them to recall them with the number of complaints they must be getting. In the beginning they were just replacing them with more of the same.

    Third stealth in under a year just failed. Shocked me when I touched the water in my quarantine tank tonight. So that's two shocks and one that stuck on making the water 94F. At least they are all gone now. I use a via aqua titanium in the DT. Will probably get another via aqua for the QT.
