    Hello everybody.

    We started out with a 20L and a pair of O. Clowns, did everything wrong, yet somehow the fish are still alive. Then we added some more live rock and promptly had an outbreak of ich and aiptasia. Well since I decided to treat the ich with hyposalinity we figured it would be a good opportunity to move to a larger tank and correct some of our mistakes. So our current setup is as follows:

    40 Gallon Breeder
    2 - 36" Aquaticlife dual T5s with stock bulbs
    2 - Hydor Nano 425 PH
    1 - Marineland C220 Filter
    40lbs dry rock
    40lbs argonite sand

    We are doing a fishless cycle using TLC Smart Start and ammonia and after four days are just now starting to see our Nitrites rise. The Clowns have been in a QT tank for four weeks at 1.009 and are clear of spots and eating well.

    I am sure you will have greater success with the newer set up, those are all situations many newer hobbyist learn to deal with.

    Thanks all for the replys :) Last time we tried to rush things and had constant issues, this time we are going to take it slower and hopefully end up with a stable tank.
