My name is Craig. I have always been a freshwater person that has always wanted to try salt. I just got a 45 gallon tank to start my new adventure. I am here to learn so i am open to any suggestions. Currently all i have is the tank so I need help in a lot of areas. I'm looking forward to talking with a lot of you and learning alot.

    Welcome to 3reef Craig.

What types of corals and fish interest you?

Do you have your lighting figured out yet.

Research is your best friend in this hobby, it will save you a lot of money and prevent frustration.

There are a lot of great books out there as well.

Window shop at Liveaquaria.com and Marinedepot to get a feel for equipment and livestock.

What i have so far is the 45 gallon tank and a 20 gallon that i am in the process of converting into a sump. I am wanting to do mostly coral not a lot of fish just a few. I am doing research now. I want to ask about skimmers and pumps for that size tank set up
