    Hello All.

    My name is Paul. I am getting back into the hobby after being out for a few years. Last time I had a fish only tank. This time I am going with a reef. I am starting out with a 55 gallon tank. When I can afford it I plan on moving up to a 125 gallon and then using the 55 gallon as a sump.

    I just retired from 20 years in the Navy. During that time I have traveled all over the world and snorkeled many seas. Regretfully, I was never able to swim the Great Barrier Reef.

    Welcome to this board. I started out with a 55 and upgraded to a 125. You will have to plan carefully your lighting and skimmer. If you oversize them now you wont have to replace them when you upgrade.
