    Name is James, live in Seminole FL. New to salt, kept freshwater tanks for 20+ years and got bored, been there bred that. My tank is a 55g, 90lbs. rock (half live rock) flugal 305, aquamaxx HOB skimmer. 2 x 48" HO reef brite tech led. I the challenge and love to learn about this hobby.

    thanks, anyone have cloudy water from phos beads? 2 hours after introducing them the water was murky, let it go for a week and no change. 10 hours after taking them out it was clear again?!

    the lights are great, small algae outbreak but only dust algae. Room is much cooler. Zoos and polys aren't loving them as much but they are still acclimating. Some of my rock is getting a few specks of coraline so that is good. It is slow going as we all know. Added a third power head (a nano) to stir the bottom which seems to be benefiting the fish more than anything.
