    welcome to 3reef! sounds like you are off to a great start! I do have a suggestion. return the hydrometer if you can, and purchase a refractometer. a bit more money, but much more accurate. are marine land filters quiet? I have a Penguin Biowheel 350 on my 55 and it keeps me awake even when it's covered with a towel.. :(

    Thanks Steve,

    Was looking at a refractometer today while looking for new lights. What I have isn't bad but if I plan to expand in the future new light will be a big help. Plus it will benefit my fish now, when I get them. ;D

    The Marine land 200 I have is very quiet, all I ever hear is the water going back in the tank. I like it a bunch. Infact replace a Penguin with it for that very same reason.
