Hi, welcome. I'm a real newbie, but I had a hair algae problem. I believe it was caused by 2 things. #1 I feed to much- now I feed every other day. #2. Light was coming in from the sliding glass doors. Now I use Phosban. My phos was 0 also--that's because the algae was using it. I also hand plucked the algae to get it short--that way it could not that so much food. I also scrubed any rocks that I could take out. Now there is still a little bit but most has died and the rest is on the way.
