    I am saying hello from Stillwater, MN. I am going to set up a 50 gal reef aquarium, but first I have a lot of research to do. I need to learn about lights, filters, skimmers, sumps, ect....... So lead on

    For lighting id use 2 175w metal halides with 2 t5s and actenics, for skimmer i use a corallife super skimmer a 75gal rated one in my 55 gal for filtration u have about 3 good options here they are

    U can use a refugium and bio balls set up witch is a natrual way of filtration a refugium in like your sump all u do is get a 6500k flourescent light bulb a day light then u poot that on top of your sump and poot live sand and live plants in it.

    Or u can use a fluval
