pH is the acidity or alkalinity of your water. In saltwater tanks with corals and stuff the pH should be pretty high around 8.2-8.6 I believe.

Abbreviation for phosphate is PO...and right now your level is very good. It should be at 0.

Your calcium is not all that bad, desired levels are between 400-500. Routine water changes with saltwater mix will fix your calcium. The saltwater will have the nutrients and calcium in it because of the saltmix you use. You can buy additives as well for EVERYTHING but I recommend water changes.

What is your sG? Salinity at?
    Temp?
    Nitrates?

Definately get as many as you can find. The one thing wrong with my tank always turns out to be the one thing I cant test for.

8.4 is the standard for most reefs.

Totally agree. Water changes is an easy way to get the nutrients your corals need. Dont add any additives that you dont have a test for.

Sounds like your levels are pretty good...will be great after a water change with saltwater. But yeah, with corals your water quality matters WAY more than with fish only. When you go buy tests (and they aren't cheap, like $35 for a drop test of 4 tests) make sure the tests aren't expired. Don't get strip tests either, get the drops.

They are definately not cheap. My alkalinity test was $27 and I realized after that carbonite hardness was the same thing (which I already had). There worth it in the long run when you think about how much your livestock costs.
