    Okay,

House got listed today. That means tanks are moving soon. Our plan is to move our two 60 gallon tanks into one of about 150ish gallons depending on the new place. First, what I'm fairly sure of.

I want a rimless setup lit by ATI t5 fixture(s). The tank will be mixed reef heavy sps. At least initially it will be maintained using my dosing pumps and bars two part. It will have two biopellet reactors and one Bubble King 180 skimmer. It will be bare bottom.

Now what I need help on. I want no wires, no plumbing, no pumps in the tank itself. If possible I want a perfect glass box with no interruptions except the rock and coral. This means I will likely have to give up my mp40s and go with closed loops.

What I can't figure out is how to get rid of the overflow. The fallback position is a peninsular setup with a bean animal on one end. If anyone has a suggesting for a less visually obtrusive overflow or eliminating any visible overflow, I'm game.

    Anyone?

Coast to coast overflow? Paint the back of the tank black, and the sides of the overflow. Probably the least "intrusive" that I can think of.

    Agreed.

Bottom line is, something must go into the tank to collect and return the water. That would apply to the closed loop as well as the sump drain and return.

Try as I might, I can't cheat physics. The coast to coast is fine, particularly if I suck it up and go peninsula, but its harder than the regular glass panes to keep clean.

    Yep,

Have to find someone to build it well and correctly. Wish me luck finding a buyer so I can start my new tank move.
