My thermometer broke in my 90 gallon reef tank and it dipped to 74 degrees before I got a new one... I'm raising the temp right now back to the 79-80 it normally is....

All my coral and fish look ok, but I'm worried about my bacteria... do you think I'm ok???? What actions should I take?

    TYIA!:-/

Unless it dropped down to about 60 or below i wouldn't worry about the bacteria.

You mean your thermometer or heater? What I did in my 65 gallon is rather than a 200 watt heater, I put in 2 100 watt heathers. I have one set a little lower, so it does not really fire up during the day as the lights help with heat. It will fire up at night as required.

But if one of them goes, I will have the other as a backup.
