I would be willing to give up my anemone to get a fish any ideas would be great thank you.

What is it you're looking to purchase? A fish? An invert? Equipment? What kind of eel is it?

Fimbriated eel about 1 1/2' he is suppose to eat inverts but I also have a purple lobster and they usually get along
I was thinking fish but then need to get rid of tube anemone
    witch I would do.

Why not get a dozen red zoos instead of/along with roses? That sounds kinda V-Dayish. You could also get a Flame Angel. Should be smart enough to avoid everything in your tank and again, kinda V-Dayish.

Both great ideas do you think a flame angel would avoid a tube anemone or should I just get rid of it

My tube anemone never once got a fish. It got a couple of stings in on most of my fish at one time or another and they learned to avoid "It's corner of the tank".

I'd get a small school of chromis, but I'm pretty partial to them.

A dwarf lion would be better suited to a tank your size. They don't hang out in a particular part of the water column though. They perch where they perch.

It might be tough to feed if the eel is very rambunctious. Especially in the beginning when you're trying to get the lion to accept prepared foods.

The thing you can do to avoid that that JP mentioned above is to buy some tongs and place the food directly in front of the eel and Lion for them to each get some food.
