    Hey Everybody,

I'm new year and would greaty apppreciate help. I dont know why my my aqua C Remora skimmer keep taking out at least 5 gallons of water. It has done it last nigh and thought the problem was some macgro plants that clogged the pump however it was removed and today another flood from the skimmer. Please Help, this can't be the "break in" period if it is taking out so much water...

    Thanks

    Welcome to 3reef..

Explain more of your set up.. What type of skimmer are you using? How deep is it? any pics? Are you dumping the skimmer cup waste to another bucket or just using the skimmer cup?

The skimmer is adjustable both in the depth of water it sits in and by adjusting the water flow from the pump.

    Hey,

I have a 72 gallon bowfront aquarium. My skimmer which is an Aqua C Remora Pro with Drain Fitting (HOB). The drain-fitting is attach to an aqua C storage container that was given to me from a family member. It holds about 3-5 gallons of water. I have the o ring....pretty much at the top of the cup. It was skimming real good before it a nice tinge of slimy green gunk all over the skimmer cup.

    Got if from marine depot

have you put any chemicals into your tank? Some chemicals will make your skimmer go nuts.

I would inspect the pump again to see if anything is inside.
