Help with APEX purchase

Hey everyone,

I am looking into an apex unit and was wondering what all I need to buy. I am going to buy the full pacakage, not lite or jr, but was wondering what else I need to add to my order. Right now I want to controll light on off, no dimming but I want actinics, whites, and led moonlights to all be seperate, my skimmer to shut off if cup is full, return pump, ATO, temp, and I will be puchasing a ca reactor this weekend so I am assuming I need 2 ph probes?? One for reactor and one in tank? Let me know what you have used and recomend. If anyone has a setup thread for their own unit please get me the link for it. As alway thanks in advance for any replies. I know there are threads on here probably refering to this I just can't find them. Thanks again and have a good one.

Just from reading your post, you'll need 2 pH probes and a Break-out-Box (for float switches) in addition to the full Apex base unit.

I also count at least 7 things you'd like it to control; realize the EB8 (Energy Bar 8.) only has 8 outlets. If you want to control more than 8 things, you'll need an addition EB (both 4's and 8's are available).

 

Ok that's what I thought, thanks for the reply... BTW if anyone needs help setting one up that link was amazing. Has pretty much any configuration you would ever need.

 

Not sure if you have float switches on your list but need 2 or 3. 1 for your skimmer cup another for your ATO. The last you can use for failsafe on display tank if level gets to high can shut off return. Or high sump shut off. Depends on you situation.

 

Yeah I'll have to order those seperate because neptune does not sell them.
