my frogspawn is completely deflated and been like that a few days. The tissue on the bottom is peeling off. Is this coral doomed? My water parameters are fine. 10 gal tank no livestock other than a crab or two and a turbo snail. I moved this frogspawn from my main tank to my 10 gallon. Could this be damage from the move perhaps I improperly moved it. Or could it be from change in light from HO T5 to halide? Im thinking I damaged the coral myself on accident. Any help is greatly appreciated thank you. I hope the coral can recover....

How long have you had it? Did you change anything other than the lighting? Do you test calcium and alkalinity? Any algae growing in the tank?

How long was the frogspawn out of the water for? Every time I mess with mine it will put out a bunch of slime. That could b seen as if it was "melting" but if that's the case, it will recover. They're pretty stubborn.

Also, can u list your water parameters and type of light on both tanks?

I dont think I had it out of water long. I have other corals in there growing fine. The lights I ran before were T5 HO 2 white 1 blue 1 fiji purple . Ill have to check parameters again when I can . I initially had an algae bloom when I set up the tank and It later died down. I was told to dose it with chemiclean as well because it was probably cyano. I did that and then a water change 48 hours later and i believe the frogspawn was added after that. There is not much algae that I can tell my clean crew does work. Thanks for responses.

I would say lighting is the issue. They do not like high light. If you can decrease the photo period or move the frowspawn to a shady spot like under a live rock ledge and see if that helps.

I find that my frogspawn will completely deflate if it's getting too much flow, try that

My frogspawn hated when i switched to led's from t5's and deflated for awhile, then came back, then hated when i added flow, deflated and is now coming back. Give er time to adjust. But prob not a bad idea to move it to a lower light level.

Yes i would think that it wasent acclimated to the ew lighting correctly. How was it aclimated to the water and light?
