help with the skimmer

    i have a coralife super skimmer with the needle wheel and if i have too much water in my sump it won't create any bubbles that won't skim but when the water level drops it skims and bubbles like a champ. i tried cleaning out the air hose and making sure it was clean but it seems to not be helping... anyone have an idea of what the problem may be?

    What debth do you have it set at? If it skims better with less water, mabey you could raise the skimmer up? Just a thought.

    I had a super skimmer for years, just replaced mine with an Urchin for exactly that reason and a couple others. It is normal. The water level affects the skimmer and therefore you have to use the Red knob to adjust it and tweak it so you get a decent skim 3/4 of the time.
