I would just ask him as much as you can about the plumbing when you go to pick it up, also when it comes to plumbing all I used on my tank was some silicone the same stuff used to seal my tank and did a straight down shot from my overflow to the bottom of my sump.

I am pretty sure I can help. Pictures would help as well. But here I go...

Let's start with the overflow- There should be a hole in the overflow where you connect a pipe of whatever size that runs down into the sump. If there is two holes, put a pipe in each one and then connect the two with a tee, so you have one pipe that goes into the sump.

From there the water should flow into a big area where the sump must have gone. Put the sump in there and all you should have to do is plug in the power cord for the skimmer and direct the output to the last chamber where we find the return pump.

It sounds like there is only one pump.. so attach a pipe to that and a tee as well to split into two pipes which will go to the two return holes in the tank.

Basically you are making two football field goal post from the tank to the sump. I would suggest that you try to limit the number of 90 degree angles as much as possible. The only 90 degree fittings you should have would be the 4 that connect to the tank (if theres two holes for the overflow, and 2 holes for the return).

    Hope that helped!

that is SO helpful.. but it has two output and two return with a rio17 HF pump tomorrow I will need more help and take a butt load of pictures for everyone :D! also tho I had some questions, there are some corals on the rocks and I dunno if they will live, im worried that they will die and cause issues when I get it up and running.

It looks like the two grey pipes that are teed will go to the pump. And I believe the way the output is designed, one will go through a fuge area and the other will go to the skimmer section.

It is designed kind of odd (the return pump is located in the center) and the output goes into the sump from both ends with one end containing the skimmer.

The corals I think should be fine if you get them in water. Maybe put those rocks in a bucket with a powerhead, heater, and lights. The worse that can happen is that they will die and will then have to be removed.
