I think your water parameters may be helpful to everyone.

my salinaty is about a little high around 3-4(these are the last #'s of course, if you don't know the first ones your prob. not gonna be much help) i'm not a dr in chemistry its 155 gallon, more like 180 w/ sump. did a 30 gall. change about week ago, top off as usual. like i said everything was fine this morn., then wham!!! fish are fine. been running smooth for about 6 months. everything was already est. from other tanks that went in it never even cycled(not the conventional way) if i put a piece of coral from another tank in and it immediately closes, just pull all the coral out and put in another system till i can change some water out?

It sounds like you need to buy some test kits and do some reading.

Salinity is a touch low at 1.023-4 but not bad at all. Have you tested for ammonia, nitrite and nitrate? Cal, alk, mag? Change in lights (length on, new bulbs, etc.)? What kind of lights? Water temp? How long has the tank been up and running? What equipment are you running? We will need a lot more info to help you out on this one.
