help :(

i just bought some supplements for my new marine tank and the guy at the shop told me that i had to put 1 cap full of each per 80 litres so naturally i didnt read the instructions when i got home. so i put everthing in like he told me and everything seemed fine, then thismorning i woke up and the tank was cloudy and seems to be getting cloudier. i figured it out to be an iodide overdose and im not sure what to do. i dont want to harm any of my fish or corals. what do i do ???? please help.

 

first water change, but i don't know much else about what you dosed. check your water params, if fine add some carbon to your media, really idk too vague.

 

the instructions say to put 2 mls per 80 litres and we put 5 mls ever 80 L

so we put 20 instead of 8

we have a 315L tank.

All I can say is do some significant back to back water changes. Run some carbon.

STAY AWAY from all supplements unless you know exactly why needed.

I have heard this happen from using non marine stress coat...
what kind of supplement did you add. def do some back to back water changes if your unsure of what is causing the cloudyness.

i added reef iodide, reef calcium, reef strontium by seachem
the guy at the shop said this all we needed for what we have in our tank at the moment.

 

80g tank 121lb of live rock 3 hammer corals a golf ball coral, an anemone two baby clowns two banded coral shrimp and a bi colour baby angel.

 

do you have kits to test for these? did you test before you out em in? cause lfs either assumed or just trying to make $ on noob.
