We just got some new corals in. Some of them are very funky shapes. I know it's ok to use some kind of super glue, so would it be ok to use a hot glue gun? I have some mats of metallic green star polyps that need to be glued down. They are very branchy shaped and fragile. Then some of the other just need to be secured to larger rocks so our stubborn ass mexican turbo snail doesn't knock them over. He already does enough damage as it is. Any suggestions would be very helpful. Thanks.

Do not use a hot glue gun, the heat will most likely kill the polyps. If you need to glue down a coral, use a superglue gel. If you want to glue down rock, use an epoxy, you can find this at a hardware store or aquarium store.

I wouldn't use anything with the word hot & aquariums in the same sentence. Imagine someone wanting to attach something to your body using a HOT glue gun... I'd be every careful on what you use due to it being toxic to your aquarium.
