    my candycane coral was hit by a fish knocked over and was on the heater... i dint realize that it was against it but when i moved it to a different location i notice that it looked burned.... big brown spot with slim comming out.... anything i can do to help it out?

    itsa small one only 2 heads and only one appears damaged

    Then it will be ok. If you lose the burned head you still have one that will reproduce.

    I would probably do an iodine dip just as insurance and then just leave it alone and make sure it's got good flow and light etc so it can heal up, might depend how badly it's burned though.

    EDIT: Also for future reference it might be a good idea to glue your frags down or get them on a solid frag rack so they can't get knocked around, even if they don't fall into a heater I don't think any coral really enjoys ending up face down in the sand or in a rock crevice. :)

    ok thebrown mark is where it was against the heater..however i m not sure what to do... corals dont get burns in the ocean..lol

    So i talked to the only lfs store i truely trust... yeah we all have just the one we trust n go back to all the time for advise.... well basically from what he sed... there's really nothing i can do... reduce the light time to help it heal but other then that not much else.... VERY VERY CONSIDERING GLUEING THEM DOWN but i like to change my tank every 6 months or so... untill them my friends... hope this dont happen and learn from my well say stupidness

    I dont complicate my life with things like this b/c thats the circle of life. I dont buy meds to "fix" fish or corals, I just let it be. As they say......"chit happens".
