    Hi everyone,

I purchased a bi color blenny about 2 weeks ago and he's been eating a lot of algae in the tank, and it's supply has been slowly dwindling (surprisingly). I wanted to make the switch over to a more prepared food that I could feed the blenny at feeding time, or clip into the tank before I leave for work in the AM so he can graze on it all day since that seems to be what he enjoys. I have tried nori seaweed sushi roll things but other than my clowns taking a nibble or two, the blenny wasn't interested. Is there something I can do to kick start him eating prepared foods? I read that other people have had luck in feeding them almost everything, but mine seems to only prefer algae growing on rocks/snails/substrate.

Has anyone else had an experience like this?

You can also rubber band the nori to a rock and put the rock in the tank. It may help him start to eat it, although I was under the impression that those fish are not really picky eaters.

I have not tried this. How do you soak it in garlic, since garlic is a solid? Is there liquid garlic available?

I'll check at Publix on the way home tonight.

romaine lettuce works in a pinch. when you get nori try to get stuff that isnt roasted/flavored etc.... in your area whole foods or something. they are all over south florida...you can find tons of stuff there. publix is probably a good get too
