I have put two hermit crabs in my tank yesterday, They dont seem to be moving about much. All the tank parameters are ok, the tank they came from had no fish in it and they had been in there a few months. Are they just hiding from my clown fish or do i need to worry about them.

Did you acclimate them or just toss them in the tank?
Are they dwarf hermits or the bigger ones?
Bigger hermits tend to be nocturnal, watch them at night!

    Happy reefing!

They have started moving now, i acclimatised them over about two hours just adding my tank water to the bag they were in. They are the bigger ones but i dont have a clue what type they are, the guy in the shop did not know to. I have done a web search found nothing simalar, most of the stuff on the web seems to be about land hermit crabs. Thanks for all your help everybody.
