    Hi Everyone,
I'm a new hobbiest in the reef aquarium arena. I am in the 3rd week of cycling my new aquarium. All of the water parameters are right on the mark.

    1) Solana 34 Gallon Integrated Aquarium (took the protein skimmer out, wife thought it was too noisy)
    2) 150W Hydor heater
    3) 2 Hydor Koralia Nano Circulation Powerhead (240gph)
    4) Acan 102AC-18B LED Light System
    5) Fiji Pink Alive Aragonite Fine Reef Sand 40lbs
    6) Live Indonesian Rock (30 lbs)

    Just added a cleanup crew:
    1) Emerald crab
    2) 2 Nassarius snails
    3) 4 Astrea snails
    4) 4 Hermit crabs

Any suggestions would be a big welcome!
    Thanks,
    tpgross

    Welcome to 3Reef!!!

If the tank is in the bedroom, you could always put the skimmer on a timer so it doesn't run when you're trying to sleep.

    Good idea!!
I would suggest you keep an eye on it as well. The reason being that my skimmer on start-up, will not foam at all unless I blow some air through the air intake line. If your skimmer is this way, it would not produce any results, since no bubbles = no skimmate.

    Just a thought.
