    i would actually LOVE to get a sump/wet-dry filteration going on for this tank but it will be located in the main living room and we just have a very basic stand for the tank and would not fit or successfully hide such a setup. i will look into the skimmers!! thanks for the info!. im also going to do FOWLR setup for now and see how that goes, i will be using 90% dry rock and probably just 10 live rock so coralline can be introduced into the system.

    by the way, do you guys know any reef clubs around north new jersey?

    thanks for the warm welcome guys!

    well here is a picture of the tank, sorry for the quality. it was shot in AUTO. the stand is custom. and it has been reinforced by 2x4s inside. as you can see a sump/wet-dry isnt a option for me, unfortunately. i will update as a get more of the stuff but for right now keep the suggestions coming! thanks!
