Checking out 3Reef! Pretty cool site. I have a question about my Beta Fish, but not sure where to ask it. I have him in a jar with the plant on top and marbles in the rim holding the plant roots in the water. Well the kitten got a hold of the plant and there are about 6 remaining leaf stems not damage. I know it will grow back. But the problem is the fish. He seems to be swimming sideways a little. He seems ok, but I'm worried about him. Do you think he will have a problem? He is still eating fine, and swimming and diving for food like always, but when floating still he seems to be tipping side ways. thanks for any input.

I've heard Beta's can be very fragile. Like they bruise easily and are very picky? What color is it and did the cat die?? Sorry Amcarrig LOL;D

    To 3Reef!!!

    Hey there!, back at ya.

Any fish is going to freak out with a close encounter with a cat.

If he is still swimming, give it a few days and he will get over it.

So, Jonah the Beta is doing ok. He seems to be swimming straight. I'm guessing it was the shock of the kitty and maybe a little shaking of the plant roots in the tank.. .. but he seems fine 8) . Thanks for the response.
