my name is martin and i am the admin of the german website Kugelfisch Enzyklopädie & Forum :: Startseite it is a website and forum about puffers.
unfortunately most of it is still only in german lenguage but we have allready started translating everithing into english. if you should be interested in pufferfish please klick on the british flag and you will find everithing that we have allready translated!
i have registered here, caus i have seen that sanchez is keeping a puffer (probably sphoeroides testudineus) that i have never seen in a tank. of course that is very interesting for me...

LOL he was till then and also my oldest son(not too bright) put his finger in the water and the puffer bit it LOL +1 for the puffer, 0+ for stupid teenager...hehehe

hi and thanks to all for the nice welcome!
yes, a lot of puffers like to bite the hand of the owner, especially if just fingers are hanging into the tank (looks like big worms). most of the bigger pufferspecies eat most kind of crustaceans and molluscs which they also need to be given to trim their teeth. a lot of puffer-species also bite small-polyped corals ans some also other fish. thats why most of the reef-tank-owners do not like them. anyway: there are others who would give away avery form of life in their tank just to keep a puffer... ::) i have kept mine only together with big-polyped corals and caulerpa. that worked out very well but of course is not that colorful like most of your tanks will be.
