Just got home and the ammonia is off the charts. Corailline you coupd be right. J have found my large serpent star decaying at the back of my tank. I have also pulled my sebae anemone jusg in case. Most of my corals are almost gone. I wilm also pull the finger leTher and the toadstool. The only coral that seems to be unaffected is the flowerpot. I am just about to do my 45g water change at the sMe time setti g up a temporary tank for the corLs that came in.
    This is frustrating! :(

Sorry to hear that. How big was the serpent to throw a tank that size into a full cycle?

Hello. Just wanted to give thanks and update to everyone who chimed in. Was able to do my 75g water change yesterday and drop the ammonia to 1ppm. Fishes have come out and started to show off again which is a very good sign. I have lost a couple of corals tho. Lost my gsp, toadstool, finger leather, sebae anemone, plate coral and my branching torch. At least i found the source before it was too late. Now the tank is starting to stabilize. Will do another 40g water change later to drop the ammonia more. Thanks everyone!

I am glad things are starting to turn around for you. I am pretty surprised the leather, toad stool and gsp did not make it, but your ammonia level was pretty extreme. At least it was not a total crash. I am both amazed at the things and events that can cause such a crash, the domino effect, and at the same time amazed at the fact we can even successfully keep reef tanks.
