Yes yes I undderstand I have had this issue and am still working on it. There is nothing off but its a 8.8 so im stressed can I use baking soda to drop it temp and if so how much its a 220 and nothing at all is out of wack I did thorough testing and nothing is off. I am thinking of adding bacteria to help it along the way but its a 3 year old system and well established tank. please throw answers as im hoping to save my livestock. thanks.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Do you see any adverse reactions to the fish, corals other inverts, related to this pH?

As I know baking soda will increase pH

Are you using a test kit or probe?

Well I know we have covered all this ground before. It seems if you really want to bring it down you are going to have to do an intervention in way of adding some type of acid/or buffering agent if the alk is not too high already as well..

So I have to go back to this link.

Thank you. I know we have covered this. Its been ongoing with me way to long. Funny how we have our tanks set up for years and its the small things that get you in a head lock.

The article Corailline gave is a good one and well known "standard". Vinegar will work but before dosing anything I would try to get more oxygen into the water via an air stone in the sump or direct more flow to the water surface via power heads and/or return nozzles.

I know we have talked a bit about this the top of the tank is as much movement as I can get to the point that I actually have to clean the lenses on the lights from splashing? I have a huge way over rated protien skimmer and then I have the over flows how much more air can I add? I understand what you are saying and I will try to adjust the surface returns more I just think if this is the issue im def doing something wrong.
