    You can....but from my understanding, fish don't digest non-aquatic vegetation very well. It is better to feed them dried nori or other marine algaes. However, having said that, lots of people feed their tangs lettuce, broccoli, and other vegetables. I would just not do so exclusively.

    ya and also boiling the veggies to soften them up is a good idea but i use nori

    Tangs go nuts for a common macro algae called gracillaria. You can buy it from almost any saltwater shop on the web, and is probably available from your LFS(if you have one). This is a highly nutritious food for tangs, and they absolutely love it. If you have a Quarantine Tank or a refugium where you can grow the gracillaria, and trim a little bit off daily for feeding then you can just about feed your tang for free!

    Other than that, Dried Nori can be purchased from most grocery stores, I'm sure. I get mine from a health food shop where they sell all organic crap that I don't eat (lol) but herbivores like it!
